The sign says 3.8 miles to FR 464 which is the trail head for Huntfish Falls..so you are just three miles from Huntfish Falls and 1.25 miles from the Upper Gragg Prong Falls, 1.5 miles from the Lower Gragg Prong Falls. The trail generally follows the Gragg Prong Creek as it flows south, eventually intersecting with the Lost Cove Creek.

The water flows over smooth bedrock and opens up into various swimming holes. The small tiered pools at this spot are ideal for taking a quick dip to cool off.

There are three major cascades here.Upper Gragg Prong, Gragg Prong, and (confusingly) Middle Gragg Prong Falls. Like a good trilogy ought, the spectacle builds with each consecutive one you see. The Upper Falls is perhaps the least remarkable, only about 15-feet in height, but the ledges up and downstream provide a wonderful setting.

To get the full experience of the main (lower) waterfall, Gragg Prong Falls, you'll have to do a little off trail exploring, but you can also enjoy the falls from the main viewing area at the top of the waterfall. A good full day hike in this area would be to combine Hunt Fish Falls and these 2 waterfalls on Gragg Prong.
